Description

Summary of responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction of the Power Plant from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules.
  • Oversee day-to-day field activities.
  • Supervise the activities of contractors and subordinate staff.
  • Provide contractors with the information required for the execution of the work.
  • Ensure the resolution of technical problems of execution.
  • Ensure that the work is carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the current standards and regulations.
  • Ensure the conformity and quality of the work carried out.
  • Perform administrative and personnel management on site.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports, health and safety and other requested reports.
  • Assist in coordination of the power plant engineering and the interfaces with other project stakeholders to ensure all battery limits are well coordinated.
  • Supervise the supervisor team and other workers under his/her responsibility.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent certificate Electrical / Mechanical trade.
  • Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Mine Maintenance or equivalent experience in mine engineering.
  • Have a good knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Be able to communicate in English, both speaking and writing.
